Photography comes to the wedding industry!
In order to
compete with 'Shoot& Burn' hobbyist photographers who
literally shoot your wedding and burn the results to a CD,
Qualified Professionals have struggled to maintain their
quality while at the same time offer something to clients to combat the
effects of this relatively new threat to quality
wedding photography.
Don't be
confused about Shoot & Burn Photography either. It threatens
the quality of wedding photography by trying
to substitute quantity for quality. Quality will always cost
more because it takes longer to produce a quality photograph
than it does to just press the shutter and wave the camera
around in the hope of getting a few good shots.
We
decided not to compromise our quality or reduce the level of
protection we offer clients with insured photographers,
covered by Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
Instead we are taking a leaf
out of our commercial photography associates and offering
the same quality photography we always have at hourly hire
rates in the wedding and portrait arena.
Our booking
fee remains the same:
$250.00
This
guarantees you a photographer on your specified wedding
date. It also covers insurance for your photographer and
anything we need to provide to ensure the workplace is both
safe and secure. It
also ties us to not take any other booking on the nominated day
for the nominated photographer. A small price to pay for
complete insurance.
Choosing hourly hire
or a package.
For some
people a package of wedding photography is still going to be
the best option. After all, by bundling together goods
(wedding albums etc) and services, (Photography) you can
save some serious money when you buy one of our wedding
photography packages.
Clearly there
is also be a need for clients to have the choice of a high
degree
of quality only an accredited professional Photographer can
provide but allow them to participate in producing the end
results.
Most commercial photographers work on a 'cost plus'
basis. This is the cost of providing a service (photography)
plus whatever you need in addition to that service. Hourly
hire is simply the smartest way to keep your costs under
control when you can do some of the work (like making a
wedding album) yourself. Many of our hourly hire clients are
avid scrap bookers.

Wedding Photography assumes we will also process results from the 'Digital negatives' our cameras
produce and deliver to you a level of quality you'd expect
from accredited photographers.
Quite often this is in excess of the time spent
actually taking photographs. For this service we charge per
hour and require a minimum booking of 3 hours.

At the most basic of basic cost, you can expect to pay $1000
for your wedding photography with the results ready to
print, delivered on CD. You may also wish to consider
bundling some extras in the deal, still saving money on a
packaged offering.
